Luna is the kingdom’s lost princess, her survival depends on the world believing she is dead. Her parents were murdered seventeen years ago by a greedy chancellor so he could steal the throne during the chaos of an eclipse that cloaked the kingdom in permanent darkness. But she wants more, and when she meets a mysterious archer, she is drawn to him despite the terrible risk. When her tower is attacked by knights of the chancellor, they escape together. But this world of darkness is more dangerous than she ever realized.

I loved the relationship between Luna and Fowler. They're both...

There is a kind of book that will touch your heart, or awaken a lingering memory or a potential fear that will haunt your mind so that even long after you’ve fallen asleep, your unconscious self is still wading through the details. Your dreams will be fitful and when you finally awaken, you will find...

Karou is a mysterious girl who fills her sketchbooks with monsters and frequently disappears on vague “errands.” She speaks many languages, including several that are not human, and her hair naturally grows out of her head as bright blue. When she meets Akiva, a star-crossed love is born that unveils secrets of a dark and violent past. Will Karou live to regret discovering the shocking truth about herself?

The writing was mysterious and lovely and I really enjoyed this! Because of how mysterious it is, I'm really glad that I went into it knowing nothing. I was sufficiently confused...

Madeline has a rare disease that basically makes her allergic to the world. She never leaves the house and the only people she sees are her mom and her nurse. But then one day, a neighbor boy moves in next door. Olly shows her what life is all about on the outside and she begins to fall in love with him, even though she knows she shouldn’t. Will they ever be able to make it work?

Really impressed with this one! Cute romance, funny dialog, and the illustrations made this even more fun and unique. I also thought this book did a fantastic job at balancing the lightheartedness with the...

I am a re-reader. Whether I’m in a reading funk, or waiting for an author’s new release, I would rather pick up a book I’ve read before than take a chance on something new. I don’t know if it’s the comfort of knowing what’s going to happen or the chance to revisit favorite characters that appeals to me, but this habit tends to get me in trouble when I’m trying to weed my book collection.

What if God were a teenage boy?

In the beginning, Bob created the heavens and the earth and the beasts of the field and the creatures of the sea, and twenty-five million other species (including lots of cute girls). But mostly he prefers eating junk food and leaving his dirty clothes in a heap at the side of his bed.

Every time he falls in love, Earth erupts in natural disasters, and it's usually Bob's beleaguered assistant, Mr. B., who is left cleaning up the mess. So humankind is going to be very sorry indeed that Bob ever ran into a beautiful, completely irresistible girl...

Sherlock Holmes is known for his keen intellect and astute powers of observation -- in this YA spinoff, Andrew Lane explores the adventures of Sherlock's youth and how he came to be the detective we all know and love.

When I first picked up Knife Edge, I was simultaneously unimpressed by the cliché cover design and excited by the fact that the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Estate had actually endorsed this particular book series. I soon discovered that a group of adults' opinion of a YA novel is not always the most accurate indicator of a teenager's liking.

There were many aspects...
