Library materials delivered straight to your mailbox!
HomeConnect is a free service for Johnson County Library cardholders who live in our service area but can’t visit the Library in person—whether for a temporary or long-term reason. If you’re homebound, we’ll mail Library materials directly to you.
Note: If you live in Olathe, please apply for Olathe Library to You Delivery instead.

Already Enrolled? Here’s How It Works
Requesting Items
- Use the Library catalog or call us at (913) 826-4600.
- Make sure your preferred pickup location is set to Central Resource Library.
- Materials will be mailed to you in reusable blue canvas bags. Delivery via Media Mail typically takes 2–10 days.
Loan Periods & Renewals
- Enjoy a 5-week loan period to allow time for mail delivery and return.
- Items can be renewed up to 6 times, as long as no one else is waiting.
Due Dates & Fees
- No late fines.
- You’re responsible only for lost or damaged items.
- If your account balance reaches $50 or more, borrowing and holds will be paused until the balance is paid.
- A $10 non-refundable fee is added if part of the balance has been overdue for 30+ days. Call us—we’re happy to help resolve account issues.
Returning Items
- Place items back in the blue bag, flip the address label so the Library’s address shows, and leave it for your postal carrier.
- Please do not leave bags outside in bad weather.
