Petitioning
Protest and petitioning zone. Click or tap to enlarge.
If you are unsure where you are allowed to petition, protest or distribute information, please ask a Library staff.
Overview
The designated protest and petitioning zone is highlighted in green in the diagram. This zone will be closed when this branch serves as an election polling place, pursuant to KSA 25-2430.
Petitioners and protestors must follow these rules:
- You must stay inside this zone.
- You must not interfere with patrons entering the building.
Petitioners or protestors who cannot abide by these rules will be asked to leave the premises.
The protest and petitioning zone’s placement was selected to maximize exposure of petitioners to patrons and prevent sidewalk traffic congestion and ensure patron safety.
We appreciate your cooperation.
