Time of My Life by Allison Winn Scotch is about the road not taken. Jillian Westfield has what many would call the perfect life. Jillian is a stay-at-home mom with a part time nanny so she can go to the gym and the grocery store, a beautiful home in just the right suburb and the perfect surburban mom car a Range Rover which currently smells like spoiled milk because she decided not to clean up her daughter Katie's spill the day before. Jillian is finding that the perfect life may not be quite as perfect as she had envisioned when she was a young advertising exceutive in New York City.
Upon hearing that her old boyfriend, Jackson, is getting married, Jillian ruminates on what went wrong with their relationship and how exactly she ended up in surburban New Jersey with a husband she rarely sees, a toddler, a Range Rover and a nanny. During her massage, following pilates and before the grocery store, Jillian's massage therapist releases her blocked chi and Jillian wakes up seven years in the past. She and Jack are living together and she is about to have the biggest break of her advertising career.
Armed with her knowledge of the future Jillian is determined to get it right this time around. However, Jillian's journey through the past is as much a discovery of herself as she comes to realize that it's not necessarily the road you take but about being true to yourself along the way.
