Wink is a weird and not so enjoyable fiction novel by Rob Harrel. This book is about a kid named Ross, one day in the middle of summer he finds a big lump on his right eye. Ross gets diagnosed with a rare eye cancer, at school, he is known as the cancer kid. Ross has to deal with a lot of stuff like his eye goo, winking, and bullies. I love the way the author adds funny comics and pictures to describe the story, but the way the author presented the book wasn’t enjoyable to me. I recommend this book to people who like funny comics, pictures, and weird storylines. That is why I rate Wink a 1/5.
Nate, president of the robotics team, wants the school funding to focus on their needs. Charlie, the captain of the basketball team, wants the school funding to go towards getting the cheerleaders new clothes. Both parties decide to enter a robot battle competition to win $10,000, which will be able fund both clubs. What happens next? Read more to find out!
This book is well done, it’s an interesting read and it has a unique plot. The only thing I didn’t really like was that the author gave the characters more depth, but overall, I really enjoyed it. This cover of the book is nice, and I
Although there have been many negative comments towards The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part, I liked it and thought it was entertaining and fun to watch. The animations were spectacular, and the storyline was brilliant. The second LEGO movie began with the world fast forwarding five years later. Wildstyle became more intense than ever with the rest of the civilization of Bricksburg as well while Emmet stayed the same with an “everything is awesome” way. Later, Lucy was captured along with some other people and Emmet had to stop a wedding before 5:15 or else a terrible event would happen
I can watch The LEGO Movie all day and not get bored of it. The LEGO Movie is different from every other movie and that is why I recommend it. This movie has the best animated action, comedy, adventure, and suspense. It began with a prophecy about the “Special,” “a person with a face of yellow who will find the Kragile and save the realms.” Eight years later after the antagonist, Lord Business, took the Kragile, a regular Lego named Emmet found the Kragile and is being chased by every cop in the city. He goes on an adventure with Batman, Wildstyle, an Astronaut, a kitten, and a weirdly shaped
Although Kung Fu Panda 3 is my least favorite of the franchise, it is not terrible. The franchise has been an amazing watch and I hold it up to a very high standard. This movie was funny and had an adventure, but I did not like it as much as the previous two because in the 3rd movie they added the Pandas in as main characters instead of the Furious Five which made side characters mainly. The movie was amazing and would probably be one of my favorite movies but throughout the franchise I would say this is the least best. The story begins with Po learning about the return of Kai and his conquest
Kung Fu Panda 2 is my favorite movie in the Kung Fu Panda franchise because it has the best storyline and the best moments where it can be intense, or it can be funny. The story begins with Po learning that he was adopted and then that leads to him searching for his past. Po goes on a journey to find who he is and where he came from and once he finds out he will know that he has to stop the new threat, Peacock, before he rules the village. I had an amazing time watching this movie and it was entertaining + funny. My favorite part was Po’s realization that he was not alone and found his past. I
The Unteachables is a hilarious and interesting fiction novel by Gordon Korman. This book is about a group of kids who are disliked by teachers and students. Their teacher doesn't care about teaching anymore, but that changes when the Unteachables jump in the river to save their teacher's life. Soon after, Mr. Kermit realizes how much he loves the kids and how much he loves teaching.
I love this book because it tells you each character's point of view, how they are feeling, what they are thinking, and how they react. I love the way the author explained and tells the story. I recommend this
This book is by far better than Ungifted, in my opinion. I liked how Donovan was one of the main characters in this book but I really liked how they switched the role and made Noah the second main character. In my mind I thought if Gordon Korman was going to make a second book Donovan would be the main character but it was surprising how Noah got to be a main character in this book more than he was in Ungifted. Supergifted is about how Donovan saved a family and he could not take the credit for it so then Noah took the credit for it and thought he was helping Donovan. Overtime that got to Noah
I had an amazing time reading this book. When I started reading about Donovan Curtis it seemed like he was just a prankster and could not change. The book is about how Donovan makes a terrible prank and then gets transferred, accidentally, to a higher-level school. He tries really hard on all of his tests so that he doesn't get transferred to the school he was supposed to get transferred to. He meets new people at his new school and it takes a while for Chloe to like him but I did like how Noah, another character, had a role in this book but later in the second book he had a bigger role. This
Slackers was by far one of the best books I have ever read. This was the first book I read in the series and the first book I read that Gordon Korman wrote. I love all the books that he writes because they are entertaining and interesting. Cameron Boxer is the main character in Slackers and he loves playing video games. My favorite part about the book is how he likes playing video games so much that he would create a group at school to fool his parents that he was doing something else instead of video games. This book has a lot of lazy people in it and I love how every chapter is a new
The movie College Road Trip follows the story of a high school student named Melanie and her overprotective father in the search for the perfect college. Melanie’s father wants her to stay close to home and is upset when Melanie wants to travel on a road trip to visit Georgetown with her friends. Therefore, Melanie’s father decides that he will take her to visit Georgetown with stop to his idea of the perfect college on the way.
This movie is very funny from a pig crashing a wedding to crashing the father’s police car in the woods. The movie is relatable to anyone with overprotective
Ferris Bueller’s Day Off is a very exciting and funny movie. In the movie, the main character Ferris Bueller decides to fake being sick and have one last extremely fun and eventful day off of school before graduation. He sneaks his girlfriend out of school and convinces his friend, who actually is sick, to join the adventure. The movie details the memorable day from performing in a parade to deceiving the principal.
This is one of my favorite movies because Ferris is an extremely clever kid with a good sense of humor. The movie resembles the stereotype of skipping high school with some
Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day is a very entertaining and hilarious movie. The movie follows the life of a young boy named Alexander who frequently has really bad days, but when his family ignores his suffering, he makes a wish that they understand his experiences. The next day is Alexander’s birthday, which turns out to be the worst day of his family’s life. The movie details every part of the day from a fire mishap at a restaurant to a kangaroo on the loose.
This movie was very funny and most of the scenes are similar to the everyday life of an American family

The Last Girlfriend on Earth: And Other Love Stories by Simon Rich is a collection of eclectic and often surreal short stories centering around love and romance. For the most part, I very much enjoyed this book. It was an incredibly fast read, but I thought that it ultimately matched the book’s funny and slapdash style. Typically I wouldn’t consider a book’s being “slapdash” to be a good thing, but with The Last Girlfriend on Earth I didn’t really have a problem with it. In fact, I think the book’s thrown together nature adds to its predominantly light and breezy feeling. The Last
