Infidel by Ali Hirsi Ayaan

After reading (listening)  to the biographical book Infidel by Ali Hirsi Ayaan, I have a new female hero in my life.  Ayaan went through so much in the name of religion. Many women and men would never have survived let alone excelled in life. She would not let her spirit or body be beaten down by parents, peers or elders.          Leaving the home and family Ayaan had grown up with she took classes and learned languages so well she became an interpreter for the police and immigration depts..  She became a wonderful advocate for free speech and women’s rights.  Her biography is an inspiration to all and listening to it was wonderful.  Ayaan is telling you her story from her heart.  after reading theis book I feel that I can at least understand a little better what it is life to be oppressed. I enjoyed listening to Infidel , it is read by the author and she does a wonderful job�
