If possible, this second installment of Larsson’s phenomenal trilogy is even more riveting than the first – The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. All are set in Sweden and are best read in order. Lisbeth Salander is one of the most unique characters in modern fiction –mysterious, uneducated and brilliant - a world-class computer hacker, with a mathematics hobby that might stump Einstein. These books hold appeal for anyone who isn’t turned off by scenes with violence and sex. They are smartly written for adults who enjoy suspense and action, while delving deeply into character development. Larsson died shortly after submitting the trilogy for publication - a loss of a true talent.
