Educated is the memoir of Tara Westover who grew up in a sheltered Mormon home in Idaho. Westover was born into a family led by the orders of her father; a man who believes in constantly preparing for the end times and keeping his children a secret from the government. As a child, Westover and her siblings were not allowed to attend school and instead forced to work at the family junkyard. When Westover was seventeen years old she taught herself the material required to take the ACT and get into college.

As things become tenser, the existing love triangle becomes more apparent.

Ms. Bixby’s Last Day, by John David Anderson, is about a mission of three boys to find their teacher. Ms. Bixby was an amazing teacher as Steve, Brand, and Topher have said multiple times in the book. The whole class loved Ms. Bixby, but Ms. Bixby got other plans. Ms. Bixby told the class that she had cancer, Adenocarcinoma, which means she will not be able to teach for the rest of the year. All the students were devastated when Ms. Bixby left, but not Steve, Brand, and Topher, or the three musketeers. They started figuring out a plan to meet Ms.

In this true story, a white man, journalist John Howard Griffin, decides to become a Negro to see how it feels like. At the beginning of the book, he meets with his friend and tells him his idea. Regardless of what others thought, John goes to New Orleans and consults with doctors. He changes his skin color to see how one would treat a negro. However, he learns that some still treat black men without equality. John decides to change that.
