Big Nate: Aloha! takes Nate Wright on a hilarious new adventure as he heads to Hawaii for what he hopes will be the perfect vacation. True to form, Nate’s trip is anything but smooth sailing, and the usual chaos, mishaps, and Nate-style disasters follow him, even in paradise. This tropical twist brings fresh scenarios for Nate’s comedic personality to shine. I’d give this book a 5 out of 5 because it keeps the humor alive while adding a fun, new setting to the series.

The slow-burn romance throughout the book was what kept me reading. Poppy and Henry are the main characters and they have been friends since college. The book started off talking about how they hadn't talked in two years, but included well-transitioned flashbacks to when they met. They had taken annual summer trips ever since college and this is how they rekindled their friendship. This book is a well-created friends-to-lovers trope book. I really enjoyed this book because the characters were flawed and real.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days by Jeff Kinney is the fourth installment in the series, taking readers through Greg Heffley's eventful summer vacation. Unlike the previous books, which focused on Greg's school life, Dog Days shifts the setting to summer, capturing the essence of lazy days, family outings and the trials of growing up. Greg imagines a summer of relaxation, video games and indoor comfort, but his plans are upended by his mom's desire for him to spend more time outdoors and bond with the family.

Happy Place, by Emily Henry, is a book about a couple, well broken up, who were both invited on a vacation with their friends. Their friends are unaware of the break up, and Wyn and Harriet want to keep it that way. This book follows the story of them “pretending” to still be together the week of vacation.

The People We Meet on Vacation is a romance novel by Emily Henry. Poppy, the narrator, is an adventurous and driven blogger who also works for a travel magazine, while her best friend Alex is an anxious gym rat who has an English degree and likes staying inside. Ever since they met in college, they’ve taken a fun-filled annual summer vacation together... until two years ago in Croatia. Something happened between them, and they’ve barely spoken since.
