Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days by Jeff Kinney is the fourth installment in the series, taking readers through Greg Heffley's eventful summer vacation. Unlike the previous books, which focused on Greg's school life, Dog Days shifts the setting to summer, capturing the essence of lazy days, family outings and the trials of growing up. Greg imagines a summer of relaxation, video games and indoor comfort, but his plans are upended by his mom's desire for him to spend more time outdoors and bond with the family.

She and her family travel to their vineyard every year, except for when her sister Claire unexpectedly died and the family took a break from their yearly vacation. But when her aunt Sarah announces that she is going to get married at the vineyard the family comes back for the wedding Meredith develops a crush on one of the groomsmen while playing one of Claire's favorite games, assassin.
The Rest of the Story is a beautiful romance book about a girl named Emma Saylor. Emma lost her mom when she was just a little girl so she does not remember much about her but one summer she is sent to her mother’s family. During her time there she meets friends and relatives that she has not seen since she was a little girl and she also learns about her mother and her new family. On this journey, Emma learns many new things and also falls in love. This is a captivating story that kept me on my toes the whole time.
Lover is Taylor Swift’s 7th studio album, following a summer-y pop narrative. It was released on August 23, 2019, by Republic Records. The album comprises 18 songs total, all with amazing beats and lyricism. There are four singles on this album; ‘The Man’, ‘Me!’, ‘You Need to Calm Down’, and, of course, ‘Lover’. A fun fact: the album was originally supposed to be called "Daylight," but Taylor decided to change the name to Lover instead!
Mothers Laurel and Sussanah have been best friends since they were young. So, it became a tradition for them to bring their families together every summer to the summer house at Cousins. Laurel’s kids Belly and Steven come together with Sussanah’s kids, Conrad and Jeremiah. As the kids settle into the home, it becomes apparent that something has changed this summer. Belly has grown up into a young woman. Not only are there physical differences but Conrad is acting differently. The book goes through the summer as the kids change, and romantic feelings develop. I loved this book so much.
IfMalibu Rising by Taylor Jenkins Reid had to be described in one word–that word would be summer. The story is so captivating, and it’s one of those books where you don’t realize where the time has gone. I definitely recommend reading The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugofirst, but Malibu Rising follows the four kids of Mick Riva, a famous singer.
