Pride and Prejudice is a story of the Bennet family, set in England. The Bennet family’s offspring are exclusively daughters, which becomes a point of consideration as the parents look to marry off their daughters. With a local ball coming soon, they came upon a chance to find their daughter's wealthy partners who could sufficiently satisfy their needs.

Summary: Mansfield Park by Jane Austen follows the life of Fanny Price, a young girl from a poor family who is sent to live with her wealthy relatives at Mansfield Park. Fanny struggles to find her place in this new environment, often feeling overlooked and inferior. She develops feelings for her cousin, Edmund Bertram, who is kind to her but ultimately falls for the charming but morally questionable Henry Crawford.

This pressure of exceeding responsibility lies in a past that he is unable to overcome. Falling in love–or more accurately– wanting to fall in love is a phenomenon he wants to avoid at all costs. Yet, this mindset comes into question when he meets the spinster Kate Sheffield.

Mr. and Mrs. Bennet have five daughters and Mrs. Bennet is desperate to get them all married so they won’t have to live on the streets after their father dies. A new family, the Bingleys, have moved to town. Mr. Bingley is a handsome man who takes an immediate liking to the eldest Bennet daughter, Jane. With Mr. Bingley, comes his closest friend, Mr. Darcy. A man who is insufferable and indignant to most. Elizabeth Bennet dislikes him the minute she meets him, over hearing the ignorant words he says. Mr. Darcy appears to not like Elizabeth, as well.

Emma Woodhouse is a young fifteen-year-old and is the daughter of Mr. Woodhouse. She has a sister named Isabella, who is married to Mr. John Knightley. Mr. Knightley is John’s older brother. Both Emma and Mr. Knightley are friends as well as critics of one another. Emma is a fancy, young, beautiful, rich young lady. While teaching her friend, Harriet, the way to be superior, Emma goes through many love matches to find that hers has been there from the start.

Pride and Prejudice shows the relationship between Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth. Mrs. Bennet plans on taking her five girls to meet Mr. Bingley, who is a rich and handsome man. While on their meet, Mr. Bingley fancies Jane, the oldest of the Bennet sisters. Mr. Bingley’s friend, Mr. Darcy, likes Elizabeth. Elizabeth is another of the Bennet sisters. But will they allow their pride and prejudice stop them from love and happiness?
