After more than a decade of Marvel movies building up to this point Marvel has made an amazing movie. Since the start of Marvel’s first movie, building up to this movie where all of the heroes were fighting side by side together was astonishing. Infinity War was a well-thought-out movie which had comedy, action, adventure, loss, and sadness. In this movie, Thanos was searching for the Infinity Stones to wipe out half of the universe.

In this collection of eight short stories, author Carmen Maria Machado explores the lives of women through a journey into psychological realism, fantasy, horror, and more. In “The Husband Stitch”, a husband attempts to remove the green ribbon tied around his wife’s neck — her only secret. In “The Resident”, a writer has trouble reckoning with her childhood trauma while vacationing in isolation at an artists’ retreat. In “Especially Heinous”, the show Law and Order: SVU is reimagined with doppelgängers, insanity, and the ghosts of raped and murdered girls.

This novel is about two characters and their stories while living through the Second World War. Marie-Laure is a young, blind girl who lives with her father in Paris but is forced to move to Saint-Malo after German occupation. Werner is a young orphan from Zollverein with incredible talent who is enlisted in the army after attending a Nazi training school. Ultimately, their paths collide and they try surviving the devastation of the war.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is a spectacular movie .Everything you can ask for in a movie is clustered into this new and improved movie. This has action, comedy, adventure, mystery, and stupidity. The story begins with five members who have nothing in common. They steal from an organization that they recently helped and they were being hunted. They crashed into a planet and met Star-Lord’s, the leader of the Guardians, father. This movie is different from the first movie and I know that is why I like it.

Guardians of the Galaxy is an acquired taste. I recommend this movie for people who are not serious all the time. This movie is funny, confusing, tasteful, and weird. It starts with five members who have nothing in common and all come together to kill each other because a character, Star-Lord, was carrying an Infinity Stone. They go to prison, fly a ship, beat up Kree soldiers, and hold an Infinity Stone.

Doctor Strange is different from the Marvel characters we currently know. Instead of physically fighting, Doctor Strange resorts to the arts of magic to defend himself and the multiversal barrier between magic and reality. Steven Strange was a neurosurgeon who got caught into a car crash. He went on an adventure to see if his hands could be fixed but on his way he discovered magic. I like how Doctor Strange is different from other superheroes in the Marvel Universe because he shows a type of skill and a unique personality against every other character.

After Captain America Civil War, when T’Challa’s father was murdered by Zemo, T’Challa returned to Wakanda. Wakanda is powered by vibranium; since the King of Wakanda was murdered, T’Challa was the rightful heir to the title. T’Challa became the Black Panther and doing so created new forces he could not compete with.

Meet Oscar, a strong-willed senior in high school. He has high hopes to take over his families’ Swedish food truck business. While at school, he meets Mary Louise, a girl who is the total opposite of Oscar. They both plan a minimal food waste project that includes his food truck.  Despite all the chaos around them, a romance blooms between the two as they face each of their own struggles.

Aideen is an imperfect teen that is facing many problems. She suddenly finds herself in a situation that she can solve. She decides to help Meabh, an overachieving, stressed out classmate, by pushing her down the stairs. After finding out that Meabh was able to get away from her problems, students with their own issues come to Aideen. This in turn leads Aideen to run her own secret business all while juggling her own problems at home. Will Aideen be able to solve her own problems and help others? Read more to find out!

The Ghosts We Keep is a heartbreaking story that contains realistic scenes of death, love, and healing. Liam’s brother, Ethan, was killed in a hit and run. While the family grieves over the death of Ethan, Liam struggles with maintaining relationships with friends and dealing with grief. He seeks comfort in Ethan’s best friend, Marcus, and learns secrets about Ethan that weren’t known when he was alive. Though this book is contains tons of tragedy, it will leave you feeling empowered at the end.
