Resistance is a historical fiction novel by Jennifer A. Nielsen. It follows Chaya Linder, a Jewish girl in German-occupied Poland. After her siblings disappear, she becomes a courier and joins a resistance cell. After a mission goes wrong, she is sent on a journey to save more lives at the Warsaw Ghetto. The emotional moments are the standout in this novel. The ending was bittersweet, made even more impactful by the impeccable writing from Nielsen.

Radio Silence, by Alice Oseman, is a young adult novel set in the same universe as most of Oseman's other books. Frances has a plan for her life. She will go to university to study English, even though she'd prefer to do art. In fact, she'd prefer not to go to university at all. Frances enjoys listening to a science-fiction podcast, Radio Silence, and, against all odds, discovers that she knows the creator of the podcast, Aled Last.

Rating: 3

My rating for this book is a 3 because the book is bland in my opinion and does no thave intensive detail. This book failed to get my interest and I believe the main reason was not enough detail. I also believe it was too short according to what the plot was. It is also boring and repetitive at a certain point.

Summary:

This is about a girl named Ashley who goes camping in the woods. She then finds out that her boyfriend cheated on her; after which she runs into the woods and has to survive by herself with limited resources.

My rating for this book is a 3 because the book felt not put together and just not right. The genre seems a bit off and mixes horror and fantasy. In my opinion, this is not a very good combination.

Summary:

This is about two boys who grow up together like brothers. The story talks about how the gods of the myriads caused a lot of damage to human society and killed thousands. These two boys then have to go through many challenges throughout the book.

My rating for this book is a 4 because the book does show realistic things that happened in our country that are often not remembered. History has its ups and downs and more often than not we forget about the tragic things that happened; even in our own nations. This book brings out one of the pieces of history that many people have either forgotten or don't even know about.
