The Son of Neptune is the second book in the Heroes of Olympus series and is written by Rick Riordan. In this book, Percy Jackson is back (though hit with a severe case of amnesia) and meets a camp of Roman demigods. From here, he goes on a quest with Hazel Levesque and Frank Zhang to Alaska to free Thanatos, the Greek god of death. Obviously, the biggest thing here is the return of Percy Jackson, which will excite many fans, and it’s interesting to see him in a new and unfamiliar environment.

I recently reread The Hunger Games after seeing the new trailer for Songbirds and Snakes which comes out in November. I totally forgot how much I loved this book, its characters, plot, setting, everything is written beautifully. Suzanne Collins did a wonderful job creating this series and I believe it’s a must read for everyone.

I read 1984 for my English class and I have mixed feelings about Orwell's novel. On one hand, I really appreciate his writing style and I believe the purpose behind the book is important for everyone to hear. However, it was a very slow start and terribly boring during part one. And the ending, don't even get me started. I was not happy that Winston finished the book submitting to everything he had fought against for years. I couldn't make up my feelings on Winston and Julia's relationship as well.
