When I was first introduced to this book, I didn’t think I’d like it as much as I did when I actually read it. The whole plot and the characters were quite unique. The story starts out with introducing the main character, Jacob (Jake) Portman who was a kid who was socially inept. When Jake’s grandfather mysteriously dies from what Jake thinks was a monster, he ends up going on an adventure to find out the truth about his grandfather’s past. He finds out that his grandfather was involved with strange things, stranger than he thought.
Eragon lives in the dystopian Empire, and must hunt in the ominous woods of the Spine in order to survive. On one of his treks, he discovers a strangely smooth and hollow blue stone. He plans to sell it, but it is in fact not a stone at all but a dragon egg. This discovery launches him into a world filled with all that he thought was legend - the world of the Dragon Riders. But the Emperor is not happy with their revival, and Eragon must figure out a way to escape him, all while his dreams are plagued by a mysterious beautiful elven woman and he knows not who is friend or foe.
Stellarlune by Shannon Messenger is the ninth book in the Keeper of the Lost Cities fantasy series. Sophie and her friends are in incredible danger. Lies are being discovered, the truth is being found, and suddenly everything seems to be already decided. Sophie and her friends can’t seem to agree on things like who to trust, who to tell what, when to act, and when to let the enemy struggle for themselves. Sophie thinks Elysian is the answer to Stellarlune, and that if
Unravel Me is a beautifully written book. Although it’s not my favorite out
of the six books in the Shatter Me series, it is still very good. All of the
books in the series have left me speechless and shocked. Definitely my
favorite series of all time.
As with all of the books in the Shatter Me series, I absolutely loved Restore Me. It definitely has a plot twist at the end, with a major
cliffhanger there too. I loved the writing style, and every book in this series
has been a hit.
This book is really good, though maybe not the best (in my opinion) out of
all of the books in the Shatter Me series (Defy Me is book five). While it’s
definitely worth it to read, I feel that it does have some boring spots, which
is unusual for this series. The most interesting of the book is pretty far in,
so you have to read quite a bit to get to it. However, all of the stuff that
Ignite Me is pure perfection. The characters, connections, plot, and everything
is beautifully written. Out of all the books in the Shatter Me series, this one is
probably my favorite. A lot of things change throughout this book, so it really
stands out from the others.
