I have never been a big fan of war movies, so I expected to spend an unpleasant two-and-a-half hour watching a boring movie centered around politics. Surprisingly, this was not the case with Lincoln. The movie takes place mainly in the year 1865, during President Abraham Lincoln's second term. Along with managing all the stresses in his life and in society during this time period, he was also figuring out how to successfully pass the 13th amendment.

First, the readers are introduced to the author by another source, Abraham Verghese, who admits to only knowing Paul Kalanithi after his death. This meant that readers knew the end of the book before it even began. Verghese explains the importance of the book and sets high expectations for the readers as they flip the pages and move on to the prologue. As Kalanithi introduces himself, his audience is drawn to learn more about his life. The book's first part shows his passion for writing and calling toward a medical degree.

Born a Crime, by Trevor Noah, is one of my favorite autobiographies. However, I do not
think I can even call this book an autobiography. He doesn’t talk at all about his future life, all he
talks about is his childhood and funny stories from it. Therefore, I like to call it a collection of
memoirs. This book takes place in South Africa during the 80’s, and this is when racism played a
big role in society. He talks about his life and how racism has impacted his life, and also how
