Anthem by Ayn Rand is a captivating story that takes place in a dystopian society. In this society everyone is the same. The idea of personalities and uniqueness is eliminated. The main character is Equality and compared to others in his world, Equality is different because he thinks uniquely and acts differently. Equality goes against society and in secret he makes a discovery that will forever change his life. I loved this book because although at first the wording was a little confusing the plot was very interesting and there was a lot of character development throughout the entire story. In addition I loved the way that the author described the world and characters because it allowed me to visualize the story and made the reading 10x better. I would recommend this book to anyone that likes reading dystopian stories.
