Colleen Hoover has created yet another heart-wrenching, plot-twisting, edge-of-your-seat novel

that I couldn't put down after the very first page. The relationship between Fallon and Ben, the

two main characters, is so complex and every chapter unravels something new and intriguing

about their unusual connection. I loved how this book was written because there was lots of

room for me as the reader to use my imagination for what could happen next. It is truly

A Separate Peace is the coming-of-age chronicle of young Gene Forrester, a studious

and introverted student of Devon, an elite boys’ boarding school. His roommate is a popular,

adventurous, risk-taking athlete: Finny. With their participation in World War II just around the

corner, they savor these last days of boyhood, climbing trees and going to beaches and having

snowball fights. But in the background of their friendship a dark rivalry and jealousy lurks, and

Poems by Elizabeth Bishop is a culmination of some of her greatest works. The poems in this

book begin as an outward analysis of the world and move more internally, into the self, as the

book continues. Bishop is a poet who can display her meaning directly while also having a

deeper meaning that requires searching. She explores humanity and all of the effects that come

with it. With the themes, she talks about and her vivid descriptions her poems are an experience

“Blue Sargent had forgotten how many times she’d been told that she would kill her true love.”

(Stiefvater 1).

Cemetery Boys by Aiden Thomas is a YA realistic fantasy. Meaning that it takes place in the

modern day but has fantasy elements and is led by a young adult cast. The book is led by

Yadriel- a trans boy who accidentally raises a spirit and only wants to prove himself to his family.

As the book goes along Yadriel’s relationship with the spirit he summoned grows while they try

to uncover the mysterious circumstances reloving the spirit’s death along with other members of

Macbeth is a tragedy written by Shakespeare, loosely based on Scottish history. It follows

Macbeth and his wife Lady Macbeth on their trials of prophecy. The Macbeth’s deal with a

self-fulling prophesy of gaining and loosing power as foretold by the staple three witches.

Personally I believe that Macbeth is an important piece of literature. Its historical impacts and

influences made it an important piece of work at the time, and it still has reference to today. But

Pride and Prejudice; a historical fiction by Jane Austen. The book is about the Bennet

family, specifically the Bennet sisters and their paths of romance. The struggle through finding

their desires within a strict class system and society. The reader follows Elizabeth Bennet and

her relationship with Mr. Darcy. Austen has a very captivating writing style. The way she

connects meaning within descriptions is beautiful and makes it an intriguing read. She

happened five years ago in her little town. Sal, Andies boyfriend was the presumable murderer.

After killing Andie Sal allegedly took his own life from guilt or fear. Pip has always thought that

there was something off about the case, and the more she investigates the more it becomes

clear that someone doesn't want her to. With the help of Ravi Singh, Sal’s brother. Pip slowly

Starr Carter, our sixteen year old protagonist who lives in garden heights, a poor town that is a

predominantly black, crime ridden neighborhood. Completely contradicting to the small town she

lives in, Starr attends Williamson Prep, a fancy, mostly white Prep School. Starrs world comes

crashing down when she witnesses her best friend Khalid die from the hands of a white police

officer. As Starr struggles to balance both of her worlds she has to figure out who she really is.

And to do that she has to confront her tragic past.
