While We Were Dating, written by Jasmine Guillory, is a story about two people. One is named Ben Stevens, a man who has an advertising job and Anna Gardiner, a movie star who wants to become a household name. She accepts the job for the ad campaign that Ben Stevens works for. Nothing was serious between them until they started catching feelings for each other. Could their busy lives get in between the spark they have for each other?
This book was lighthearted, funny and dramatic. The way Ben is there in a heartbeat for Anna makes me believe in love again. I love the relationship Ben and Anna have, a sarcastic one, but serious when need-be. I rate this a four out of five stars because the characters were mapped out nicely and the book flowed charmingly. I love how the author have a strong African American man and woman as the main characters.
