After being left haunted by her last case, Pip is done investigating mysteries. But when online threats turn into being followed in real life, Pip is forced into solving one more case. This book was easily the most action packed in the series. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. It has a very different tone from the other two books and it definitely gets way darker, but the progression of Pip’s character was amazing. I think this was a great way to end the series.

Rick Riordan’s final installment in the Percy Jackson series comes in amazing fashion with The Last Olympian. The book begins with Percy and Beckendorf attacking an enemy ship, however the mission goes haywire and Beckendorf is killed. Percy then travels to get bathed in the river Styx, something his enemy Luke had done previously. After getting bathed, Percy and the people of Camp Half-Blood travel to New York to defend Olympus, which is left unguarded due to the gods fighting Typhon.

In the sixth book of the Wheel of Time series, we still follow the same group of ragtag adventurers while they explore and try to find a better their world. It is set in a very typical deep fantasy setting, complete with magical beasts and intense world building. As the sixth book in the series, new plotlines and adventures come to light. While the nobles under his rule try to curry favor with Rand, he starts to discover more about his past, namely his birth parents.

I love love love this book. Filled with adventure, fantasy, thrill, some romance and even a few creepy/intense moments. There was always something happening that made you want to keep reading and I personally couldn’t put it down. Both main characters, Kell and Deliah (Lila) Bard, were so loveable and I absolutely love them together and apart.
