Cats in the City is the second book of the Stick Cat book series, written by Tom Watson. The book starts off with Stick Cat and Edith talking, and realizing that Stick Cat had never visited Edith's apartment - she always comes to his. She invites him to her apartment, where he had a nice look and found out that she lives a luxurious life. He hops on the windowsill and stares out the window, noticing a bagel shop and a woman stirring a giant pot of bagel batter on one floor of the building near their apartment. Suddenly, the lady's coffee spills, and she slips right into the pot of bagel batter. Stick Cat knew he had to help - and quickly. Edith thought of an interesting plan that needed executed immediately, causing Stick Cat to fear for her life. Will Edith and the Bagel Lady, Hazel, be okay? Or will Stick Cat lose his best friend and be unable to save the nice lady?

I thought that this book was quite interesting. Tom Watson creates a new story in the second book of this series with a really unique and humorous plot, as well as Edith's classic, silly ideas to rescue Hazel. I found it really funny when Stick Cat realized that Edith hadn't fallen to her death and was instead safely and casually gliding to Hazel's building. However, I found some lines in this book similar to the previous book, as well as the Stick Dog books. For example, whenever Stick Dog's friends have ideas that make zero sense at all, he takes a moment to compose himself, which also happens with Stick Cat. This caused a partial lack of originality to be observed. At the end, this was still a really good book with a great storyline. Because of all this, I give this book a four out of five.
