Minions is an okay movie with lots of fun moments. The movie introduces and shows how minions have existed since the beginning of time and have evolved from single celled organisms with one goal, a goal to serve the most evil masters but often they result in their masters death. In this movie, we see the minions look for a new master, a master who would fulfill their requirements. This was the main goal of the movie and once it is achieved we see a simple story take place.

The Assassin’s Blade
By Sarah J. MaasThe Assassin’s Blade is the prequel to Sarah J Maas’s book series Throne of Glass. The Assassin’s Blade follows young assassin Celaena Sardothien and how she ended up in a slave camp called Endovier. It was the third book written in the series and is personally one of my favorites because of the character development and introduction to new characters. It includes multiple short stories about adventures she went on and different people she met.

Throne of Glass
By Sarah J. MaasThrone of Glass is the first book in the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J Maas. It is definitely the worst book in the series, but it is still a fantastic and interesting book. This book follows enslaved assassin Celaena Sardothien who is chosen to compete in a tournament for the prince of Adarlan. She has to compete against other fighters and mercenaries to achieve the title of King’s Champion. While competing, she makes new friends and uncovers a terrible darkness that is killing off her competitors.

House of Sky and Breath
By Sarah J. MaasHouse of Sky and Breath is the second book in the Crescent City series and is definitely a downgrade from the first one. The story follows Bryce, Hunt and their friends after surviving the attack of Hel, a demon realm, in the first book. Bryce takes risks in her relationship with both Hunt and the rebel rebellion that is fighting against the unjust rule of the Asteri. Secrets are exposed and new enemies are revealed as Bryce and Hunt explore their future.

The Book Thief
By Markus ZusakThe Book Thief by Markus Zusak is one of the most powerful stories that I have read. Taking place during the Holocaust, this book’s depth is immediately apparent (as is any story in the face of such a great tragedy.) The story centers around a girl named Liesel, who loses her family at the novel’s opening, and thus finds herself in the care of the Huberman family. The Huberman family provides Liesel with a new warmth that had been lacking previously in her life–they represent, for her, a true family.
