Blue de la Cour is a talented alchemist with a dangerous secret: she is a witch. In Balavata, magic is both feared and hated, so the magic in Blue’s blood could very well lead to her death. After her father’s sudden death, she is thrown into turmoil, finding herself the ward of Lady Chauveau, a powerful councilwoman. What’s more, strange things are happening in the kingdom — orphans are being kidnapped, daughters of influential families are being murdered, and screams of monsters echo through the streets.

Red Queen takes place in a society where the hierarchy is based on your blood-red or silver. Mare Barrow, a red blood, is placed into the kingdom as a servant and observes the court as they are selecting the bride for the young princes. Suddenly, Mare exposes herself, showing lightning powers coming through her, and everyone in the court is heavily confused. The King and Queen quickly betroth her to Maven, the youngest son, and create a fake backstory. No one was suspicious of her blood afterwards, and people proceeded to believe she was a silver.

Finding Nemo is one of my favorite childhood movies because it tells an amazing adventure across the ocean. The movie starts with Marlin trying to protect his son Nemo, a clown fish, who has one fin of less than average size; Nemo ends up being captured and lands in a fishbowl with other apprehended and imprisoned fish accompanying him. Nemo’s dad, Marlin, travels across the immeasurable ocean along with a new friend he made named Dory who suffers from short-term memory loss.
