One being Kaladin, as he faces an underdog story and attempts to find the meaning in life. He is forced in a bridge crew on the shattered plains where he must find out how to survive and thrive.
Brandon Sanderson’s book, The Hero of Ages, is the third book in the Mistborn series. The book follows Vin and Elend as they search the world for hints on how to defeat Ruin. All the while they must fight against both the ash, which is becoming threatening to supplies and covering tons of land and the armies of Ruin, which have become very daunting. This book is not as impressive as the first book in the series due to its ebb and flow of interesting parts.
Brandon Sanderson’s book, Well of Ascension, is the second book in the Mistborn series. The book is focused on a war in a much larger scale than the first book in the series, and ultimately sets the scene for the third book. The story with Elend Venture and Vin adds a good dynamic to the story. However, there are a few parts throughout the story that drag on and cause boring stretches in the book.
Brandon Sanderson’s book, Mistborn, is a wonderful book that shows you the maturing phase of Vin as she learns the line between trust, and being smart. The whole book is mainly set in the same city, Luthadel, and follows Vin’s path as she learns to become a mistborn, and lead a rebellion against the Lord Ruler.
City of Glass is a thrilling continuation of The Mortal Instruments series. In this book, Clary Fray travels to the Shadowhunter city of Alicante in the realm of Iris. Her goal is to find a way to cure her mother, who is trapped in a magical coma. Meanwhile, Clary’s brother, Sebastian, is shown to be a spy for their father Valentine.
City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare continues the story of Clary Fray, Jace Herondale, Simon Lewis and their friends as they work through the aftermath of Valentine’s defeat and the restoration of peace. However, the peace is short lived as new threats develop. As Clary begins her training to become a true Shadowhunter and plans her future with Jace, Simon struggles with his new life as a Daylighter vampire.
Rock Jaw: Master of the Eastern Border is a graphic novel, the fifth book of a 9-book series called Bone. At the end of the fourth book, Phoney Bone's plan to capture the dragon unintentionally succeeds, but the rat creatures come and show the townsmen who really is the enemy. The dragon and some mysterious warriors ward off the rat creatures.
