Madeleine L'Engle’s A Wrinkle in Time is a story about a teenage girl named Meg who had a hard time fitting in at school and also had a father who was missing. Meg’s curiousness about her father led her to go on a quest to rescue him. Meg, her brother Charles Wallace, and their friend Calvin O’Keefe went off on a magical adventure to another dimension in the hope to rescue their father. The book follows their journey of traveling through time and space and encountering many difficulties along the way. They start to build close relationships with one another and do everything they can to complete their mission and find Meg and Charles’s father.
I would rate this book four stars because it was an exciting science fiction story. Not only did the quest help Meg find her father but it also helped her find her true self. At the end of the book, Meg was a completely different person than who she was at the beginning. It had a very unique and abstract story, unlike anything I had ever read before. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in scientific fiction and wants to read something in another universe.
