Rusty, a housecat, had always dreamed of being set free in the wilderness outside of his dull routine. His friends, on the other hand, would always warn him of the shrouded mysteries hidden outside the comfy life of housecats. In an attempt to explore the place, he finds something shocking, to the point where it changes his life and mentality towards others, forever…

Into the Wild is fast-paced action packed novel with a clearly defined theme of compassion, empathy, and leadership. The most compelling aspect of the book is when he discovers a whole world of cats outside his own and becomes one of them as he doesn’t enjoy his pampered life. He soon confronts the challenges of living in the wild. The most disappointing part of the book is when many of the rules, even in the wild clan, were broken to try and help others. This book has both violence and diplomacy and applies to the political challenges we have going on in the world right now. The main theme of this book is mainly adventure, leadership, and mystery. I would recommend to all ages because violence is very minimal, and the plot is very easy to understand. It is also an edge-of-your-seat read with ups and downs. Rating: 3.5
