Cadence has grown up in a wealthy family that never talks about any of the bad parts of life. Every summer her mother’s family comes together on their private island and, with her group of friends, she has the most amazing summers. But one summer, everything goes wrong. Cadence can’t remember exactly what happens but she isn’t allowed back to the island and everyone in her family is treating her differently. When she returns to the island after some time away she will uncover the events that took place during summer 15.

4.25/5- I loved this book! I loved that while Cadence was learning about what happened during the summer she couldn’t remember, you as the reader were learning too. There is an element of mystery to the book and I can definitely say that I did not see the twist coming. I was disappointed by the ending, it wrapped up very quickly almost as if nothing happened. The cover of the book is very summer-esque but does not give away too much about the story. I would recommend reading this book in the summertime since it takes place on a private island in the summer. Anyone could read this book, but it would most likely be more popular with a younger teen reader.
