Rowan and Neil have been competing for everything their whole lives. Student council, best class project, even valedictorian. In the last 24 hours of their senior year, there’s only one thing left to compete for: Howl champion. The book explores the journey of the two teens spending those last 24 hours with each other, where they learn more about each other in that time period than they had in the 12 years they’d been in school together.

A pretty long book but it was a quick read for me, due to the fact that it only went through the course of a day. I love how real the characters seemed, and how much was revealed about them over such a short period of time. Enemies to lovers is a very popular trope, but very hard to do well. Rachel Solomon does a great job of portraying the formation of a connection between two teenagers. The story was very much a feel-good book and a comfort read. I would rate it 4 stars, and recommend it to anyone who enjoys romance, enemies to lovers, and comedy.
