This Time It’s Real by Ann Laing is an entertaining and gripping novel about a girl named Eliza. Having moved around a lot when she was younger due to her mom's job, Eliza did not have any close friends. When she is assigned to write an essay about her life she decides to make up a story about her non-existent love life. Unexpectedly her writing goes viral and now she is swarmed by people wondering who her boyfriend is. Out of desperation and an attempt to control the situation she decides to hire her classmate, a famous actor, as her fake boyfriend. During this journey we follow her story as she puts up an act and gets closer to her fake boyfriend. I loved this book because the author's writing style was very entertaining and kept me captivated the entire time. Also, I loved the plot of this story and all of the conflicts the story included. I would recommend this book to people that like romance books.
