Throne of Glass is the first book in the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J Maas. It is definitely the worst book in the series, but it is still a fantastic and interesting book. This book follows enslaved assassin Celaena Sardothien who is chosen to compete in a tournament for the prince of Adarlan. She has to compete against other fighters and mercenaries to achieve the title of King’s Champion. While competing, she makes new friends and uncovers a terrible darkness that is killing off her competitors. She goes on a journey of discovery to survive the competition.
The other books in the series only get better and better. This book is only worse than the others because it is an introduction to the world. It is a bit confusing to follow at times and you don’t have any connections to the characters. I recommend this book because of how good the rest of the series is, once you get past this one, you're in for an emotional and action-packed adventure filled with amazing character development and world building.
