Greg Heffley’s middle school is in big trouble. See, the people at Greg’s school aren’t exactly the smartest. So, when standardized testing scores for Larry Mack Middle School come out, they are abysmal scores. Because of this, funding gets cut into the school, leading to all sorts of wacky situations Greg has to deal with, like rationing school supplies, advertisements plastered everywhere across the school, renting out rooms to the police and beekeepers, and so much more, all with a school that is falling apart.

Nate is sick and tired of Jefferson winning all the time. That is, Jefferson Middle School, who seems to be better than P.S. 38, at EVERYTHING. From basketball, to soccer, to even academics, Jefferson always finds a way to beat P.S. 38. But when the P.S. 38 buildings are discovered to have multiple problems that are so bad that classes can’t resume, where do you think Nate and friends are supposed to go? That’s right, Jefferson Middle School, which is just as snobby as the students. But everyone has an Achilles' heel, even Jefferson.

Big Nate Lives it Up, is a wacky and whimsical story, with never ending laughs! The characters also help the plot and story a lot, as they can go against Big Nate, or they can help him, and off endless laughs! Another reason why I love this book is because it also happens to incorporate a little mystery here and there, and will also have you constantly giggling at every page. I would definitely recommend this book to people who enjoy books with lots and lots of humor!

Summary: Nate has a problem, and his name is Breckenridge Puffington III. He’s a new kid at PS. 38, Nate’s school, and Principal Nichols is forcing Nate to be Breckenridge’s “buddy”. The only thing is, Breckenridge seems to be quite a nerd. He doesn’t like cartooning or sports like Nate, and instead enjoys FLOWERS. Yeah, you read that right. Flowers.
