I rated this book a 3 out of 5 for a few key reasons. This book follows a girl named Belly, and her romantic relationships with two brothers, sons of her mom's best friend, during a summer trip. The book itself is light-hearted and nice. But there are a few dark undertones, like the son’s mother having cancer. I enjoyed the fun aspects of this book, and I felt the emotions at all the highs and all the lows with the characters. I liked how complex the characters were. A few reasons I didn't rate this book higher was that it wasn't anything special, granted it was fun to read but you could get the same science reading another romance book. I was also infuriated with Belly’s random outburst and how the book almost brushed past it. Belly just didn't seem like a likable narrator and a lot of her decisions were very annoying and weren't paid enough attention to. Its obvious Belly is after the brothers, and although it is a romance book, I feel like they didn't focus on the worldbuilding enough, and like other things weren't getting enough attention. I wanted to rate this book a 4 since it was one of the first romance books that I enjoyed, but it was just very mediocre and didn’t have anything special in particular, although it was an enjoyable read.
