Stick Dog Meets His Match is the 10th book of the Stick Dog book series. It starts off with Karen talking about how she loved drinking coffee so much. Stick Dog then decides to lead his friends to a coffee shop, where Karen gets a whole drink for herself, while the other four split one drink, causing Karen to get very hyper. She runs off to a gym, and when the dogs follow her, they see a meat truck delivering food to the gym. There is a dog inside the truck, and when her eyes lock with Stick Dog's, it becomes instant love. They decided to find the restaurant where the meat truck was from, but as they walked and took a break, Karen started digging a hole and trapped herself deep in it. Stripes, Poo-poo, and Mutt all devise interesting plans to rescue her, but they all seem to fail at some point. Will the dogs be able to rescue Karen and get some meat, or will they have to come back another day? Also, will Stick Dog ever meet his mysterious admirer?
I thought that this was a very interesting book, due to multiple plots and plans needed, for both rescuing Karen as well as getting food. I also liked how this book brings back memories from previous books, affirming that this book is part of a book series, and so readers hopefully read the previous books before this one, although it would still be okay if they started here due to a new adventure in every book. I enjoyed reading about the group meeting a new dog, who seems to form a special connection with Stick Dog, and it seems that they will meet this dog again in the future. Due to all this, I give this book a five out of five.
