“…..Then the explorers came back.”

Proloff was once a revered Explorer, one of the only ones allowed to leave the train. So important was their job that only once a year did the train stop and it was for them to deboard. After discovering some things he shouldn’t have, how does Proloff come to terms with his questions about the very world he lives in?

The Second book in the trilogy, this graphic novel starts the official Snowpiercer series. Introducing the main characters, such as Proloff and Adeline. Talking about topics such as climate change and the disparagement between social classes, this novel was a thoughtful read. With mysteries and love stories woven into the main narrative, my favorite message was the extent people go to for hope. Not necessary to have read the book directly before this one, though it is recommended.
