Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo is an exciting fantasy novel that follows a diverse group of six outcasts in the city of Ketterdam as they venture on a treacherous heist. Led by the cunning and relentless Kaz Brekker, each character possesses unique skills and a tragic past. As they navigate the complexities of their mission, facing unexpected challenges and alliances, the story weaves themes of vengeance, power, and greed. The elaborate story-telling and characterizations of Leigh Bardugo make Six of Crows a thrilling and immersive adventure, leaving the readers eager to know what happens next.

When I read Six of Crows, every page left me fixated on what problems the characters were about to encounter next and how they would go about it. I loved how each character had their own story and background, despite Kaz Brekker being the main character. The alternating point of views added to the book’s captivating storyline, preventing me from putting the book down. Every time I reread the book (which is about five times so far) I am amazed by the small details Bardugo added and the complex nature of each of the six characters. Although the characters might not be your typical altruistic protagonists, they still are relatable and a bunch of reckless young adults led by a boy who had to mature very early in life.
