Ketterdam is a city of crime, and it’s all Kaz has ever known. When news of a risky heist arises, his attention is caught. The job would be deadly, but if he were to somehow make it out alive, there would be an unimaginable amount of money waiting for him. Unable to resist the temptation, and ignoring the odds, Kaz puts together a crew.

“A convict with a thirst for revenge. A sharpshooter who can’t walk away from a wager. A runaway with a privileged past. A spy known as the Wraith. A Heartrender using her magic to survive the slums. A thief with a gift for unlikely escapes.”

Six of Crows is one of my absolute favorite series. Not only is the plot of the story thrilling and compelling, but so are the characters. Each and every one of them has a complex backstory, as all of them have lived such different lives. It shows how they can come together and use their different strengths to pursue the heist. They face many troubles, whether having to betray their country or learn how to live a new life, but in the end they create a found family. I rate this book an overall 5 stars. It’s exciting to be able to experience this well-constructed world. I would recommend this book to anyone that enjoys a good fantasy read.
