Six of Crows, the first in a fantasy duology by Leigh Bardugo.

Summary: Kaz Brekker, an infamous criminal and the commander of a gang, has just been offered the greatest heist he’ll ever get in his life. It’s enough money for him to seek out the revenge he has been waiting for all his life. There’s just one problem: the target is in the Ice Court, the most secure building in the world. In order to pull off this heist, he needs a team.

Opinion: This book was incredible, making its way onto my favorites list. The strongest point in this book is definitely the characters. The way Nina and Matthias interact, Jesper’s comedy, Kaz’s wit, Inej and Wylan’s morals, make up most of the story on their own. The plot itself is a little confusing, but there are definitely a lot of twists and turns, enough to keep you on your toes through the whole story. Overall, this book is one of my favorites, with its stunning characters and suspenseful plot. There are a few parts of this book that have gore and mention inappropriate content, but for the most part, this book is great for any teen who’s interested in fantasy.
