The Ship of the Dead is the third and final book in the Magnus Chase series and is written by Rick Riordan. In this book, Magnus Chase is in the Viking afterlife Valhalla, where he prepares for the world ending Norse event of Ragnarok. I loved the first two books in this series, so I had a lot of expectations placed on the finale, and I have to say that the book surpassed my expectations. Just like the first two books, this book masterfully manages the humorous tone with the tense feelings of saving the world. Just like the other books, this book is also carried by the characters, not just Magnus but also his friends and people like Alex. There’s not much to say about this book because it’s just that good, and anything else would be spoilers. So if you get anything out of this, it’s that this book is great and is a worthy finale to the Magnus Chase series.
