Rich Dad Poor Dad is a financial book that teaches the reader how to be financially independent. It follows the narrative of the narrator showing the financial choices of his poor dad (his real dad), and his rich dad (his best friend's father). It talks about different topics on how to build wealth and gives simplified ways to understand how making money works. In addition to investing, stocks, assets, liabilities, passive and active incomes, real estate, and entrepreneurship; he talks about how you need to take risks to actively change your finances (every rich person was poor once). He teaches financial literacy and how to get out of the “rat race”, a never-ending cycle of living paycheck to paycheck, and never actually making money work for you.

I give this book 5 stars because it's a good introduction to how it works.  I like how the book goes over so many different topics, but not too in-depth so it doesn't get boring, but it does allow it to be an introduction to a wide variety of topics and is perfect for beginners. This book was a game changer when it was first introduced, offering a new perspective on how money works. The book was infamous for a variety of new opinions, such as how a house isn't an asset if you live in it and it's taking money from you. This book is perfect for a wide range of people and many pieces of advice are universal for everyone.
