“I do not function properly. I am nothing more than the consequence of catastrophe.”

The next part of the Shatter Me series, this novella is yet again narrated by Kenji Kishimoto.

My review for this one is basically the same as the one for Shadow Me, and that’s because they are practically the same book. Even the normally interesting character Kenji can’t make this novella even remotely interesting. It shares all the same problems as its other half, Shadow Me. It’s painfully YA and also incredibly dull. It also has no real place within the actual series, and honestly, you’d probably like the series as a whole more if you didn’t read this. It brings down my overall opinion of the series and added unnecessary parts that conflict with the books in the actual series. Sometimes it’s just painfully obvious the author wants to make some money without the trouble of writing another book, so they just slap on a barely legible novella, and this is a clear example of that.

Not worth the time it takes to read it, 2 out of 5 stars.
