Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief movie is a very bad adaptation to the book, it is actually decent if we ignore the books but even then I find a lot of flaws that ruin the movie. The story of the whole film is decent but the main plot points are drastically changed from the books. It also does not take advantage of all the unexpected twists the books had, they just reveal these twists in a casual way and do not build them up at all. The only part I like about this movie is the world building, the camp looked pretty good and the underworld looked good. Overall, I give this movie a 3 out of five.
