Before, she was just a 16 year old rising soccer star. After, she was a rebel in denial wreaking havoc in the Merchant’s School for the Blind. Refusing to come to terms with her life after meningitis, Maggie lands herself with a parole officer. And just when things seem their darkest, she meets Ben, the only person in the world she can see. Maggie bonds with Ben, and realizes just how great life can be. The only question is: how long will it last?

This was such a cute read! I loved how rounded out and realistic Maggie’s character was. The reader is able to really feel her frustrations with her in this story. Ben really kept things light and sometimes comical and I really liked that. The sort of fantasy element and concept that the book took on was one that I didn’t expect, but once I understood it I enjoyed it. This book wasn’t something I feel like I would normally pick up but I’m really glad I did because it was good! I would recommend this book to people that like a light romance, and a heartwarming story. It was a pretty easy and quick read for me. Overall I’d rate it 4 stars.
