In this alternate reality, America is ruled by the Washington family. After the death of her beloved father, Beatrice is now the first queen of America. Beatrice will do anything to win over the American public, even if that means she must marry Teddy Eaton.

While Beatrice attempts to plan a wedding, her siblings grapple with their romantic interests. Samantha, former wild child and now heir to the throne, quickly becomes involved with another eligible bachelor after learning that her sister will not cancel her wedding as she had planned. As Sam moves on, Jefferson finds himself further entangled with both Nina and Daphne.

With Beatrice’s wedding looming close, one question remains for those close to the throne: will love conquer all, or will the pressure of the crown prove to be too much?

I was pleasantly surprised by Majesty. I read the first book – American Royals – a couple of years ago, so I was a bit wary about reading a sequel. I loved the couples in the first book, and I did not want to see new pairs formed. However, I really liked who Beatrice, Sam, and Nina ended up with. Overall, I had a lot of fun reading this book. I would have enjoyed reading a little bit more from Nina’s perspective – I feel like she got more screen time in the previous book than she did in this one – but that is a purely selfish want. I definitely recommend this book for anyone that enjoys a happy ending. I give this book four out of five stars.
