Percy Jackson is at Lake Montauk with his mom when they get attacked by a minotaur. After Percy defeats the monster, he passes out and wakes up at Camp Half-Blood. He learns that Camp Half-Blood is a place for children like him to keep safe and train, children who are half Greek gods. Percy finds his best friend from school Grover Underwood at camp and meets a girl named Annabeth Chase. Percy, Annabeth, and Grover have to go on a quest to the underworld to find Zeus' master bolt before the Greek gods go to war.
Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief is one of the best books that I have ever read. This book has Greek mythology in the modern world and magic. In this book, there are characters with ADHD and dyslexia so, there is some disability representation. Everything about this book is amazing, from the characters to the world building.
