Percy Jackson and the Last Olympian is the fifth and final book in the Percy Jackson series and is written by Rick Riordan. In this final installment, the last stage of the prophecy finally comes into fruition as Percy becomes sixteen. The son of Poseidon must fight Kronos and the Titans and stop them from destroying the world. This book is the culmination of all the sagas of the last four books and everything has led to this moment with Percy and Kronos.

With that in mind, this book is amazing because it does a great job of having a sense of finality. It truly feels like the world is in immediate danger of being destroyed, and that’s in large part thanks to Kronos. Kronos is such a terrifying villain who gives a sense of being unstoppable, and it's good that he’s scary or else the book wouldn’t have worked at all. Percy and his friends are once again really good in this book, and while it is humorous, it’s also very serious (as it should be). The ending to this book is also very unpredictable yet fulfilling. I can’t really say much other than that or else I’ll give too much away, but I can guarantee you that this is a good book and a very worth finale to this series.
