Anne Wynter is not who she seems - but that does nothing to deter Daniel Smythe-Smith, enchanted by her beauty, charm, and wit. However, Anne is but a simple governess and socially unfit for Daniel, an earl. But as the demons in their past come back to haunt them, they find themselves increasingly drawn together despite the taboo.
This book was pretty good. I felt like the mystery and danger element of it made it different from other Bridgerton novels, though I disliked that a lot of their relationship just seemed to be based on physical attraction. I would give it three out of five stars.
