Lily wants to start a new life so she decides to move to Boston to continue her studies. The first night she is there she meets Ryle on the rooftop. When she meets him she almost immediately falls in love with him. All is well between the two of them until Lily's secret gets loose and the reaction of Kyle is what damages the relationship completely.
Even though this is a romance novel the romance doesn't succeed, it actually goes in the other direction which you’ll have to read to find out. In the end Lily decided her fate for herself even though the decision was one of the most difficult things to do she chose herself.
I would recommend this book to anyone who has or is going through domestic violence in any type of relationship because it has a special meaning. The cover for me is okay because it doesn't really go with the theme of the novel but it looks pretty.
