After her sister is chosen to compete in the annual Hunger Games, Katniss Everdeen volunteers to take her place. In these games two teenagers, from each of the twelve districts of Panem, enter the games where they fight to the death until there is one survivor, who becomes the victor.
The plot of this movie is very interesting to me because it shows how media romanticizes the Hunger Games, which is were kids murder kids, by turning into a televised game that everyone watches. I think that this theme is somewhat relevant in today’s society, where we see and hear about a lot of issues through a screen rather than actually knowing the full effect of the situation. I really liked the main character Katniss because of her personality and what she believed in. I did enjoy watching this movie, however there is a lot of violence, so if thats not your cup of tea I wouldn’t recommend watching this movie.
