Home Before Dark is an exceptionally well-written psychological mystery book. While reading this book I felt several different emotions. At the beginning of the book it was somewhat of a slow read, showing you the daily life of the main character, but as the story accelerates the story gets more and more fascinating. There are so many different twists in the book and none of the aspects are too predictable making it an enjoyable read. The chapters of the book alternate perspectives making it so that the book never felt repetitive. The only thing that was a little bit confusing was how the title of the book related to the story, not a big deal but just a thought.
