I’ve got a secret: I’m a Harry Potter fan. I’m not a Potter-head, but I can easily pick up a Harry Potter book and immerse myself in the world of magic. Most readers know how fun JK Rowling’s world is, but some new readers might be a bit shy when it comes to picking up these books. To those who are hesitant to read these books, let me tell you: start reading Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone immediately. Not only is it the book that made JK Rowling famous, but it was also an amazing start into the legendary story of Harry Potter. In this book, Harry Potter is a 10-year-old boy who seems to be trapped in a nightmare. He lives with his uncle, aunt, and cousin, who try to make his life as miserable as possible. However, this all changes the second he turns 11, when a mysterious man (who’s twice the size of Shaquille O’Neal) gives Harry an invitation to a school. This isn’t any regular school; it’s a school for wizards. From there, Harry finds himself in the exciting world of magic and makes new friends, learns to do incredible things, an explores the good and the evil side of the Wizarding World. No matter how much this book gets read, it never gets old among readers. Rowling does a great job in creating iconic characters, shaping amazing adventures and plots, and creating a deep and detailed world from thin air. I can’t push it any further; start reading Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone today. Once you open that book, all you’ll “wand” to do is keep reading. Enjoy!
